The Goudsch Chamber Choir consists of more than twenty enthusiastic singers from Gouda and the surrounding area, and is led by conductor Mark Lippe. Since its founding, the Goudsch Chamber Choir has strived to achieve a high standard of vocal quality and a distinctive choral sound, combined with a carefully curated selection of musical works.
The choir is best known for its traditional Christmas concerts (“A Festival of Lessons and Carols”) and its performances at cultural events in Gouda. For several years now, the Goudsch Chamber Choir has also been performing a Passion concert. In addition, the choir gives an annual fall concert—featuring a wide range of classical music. When the Gouwekerk opened its doors in April 2024 and was given a new purpose, a concert by the Goudsch Chamber Choir with the theme of Psalms was the first concert held there in years. The music seems almost tailor-made for the acoustics of De Gouwekerk, and the sound blends beautifully with the ambiance of the magnificent vaults. Since then, the Goudsch Chamber Choir has been a regular guest in the spring and fall for their special concerts. Tickets are available via the choir’s website.
