This city walk takes you past hidden green spots in Gouda’s historic city center. We’ll look at a variety of plants, flowers, and trees, and along the way, learn a bit about the history of the places where they grow. This walk is a combination of nature and history. Join us as we explore lesser-known spots. You’ll pass through parks, courtyards, and overgrown canal walls, and you’ll be amazed at how well flora thrives in an urban environment.

Did you know, by the way, that just a five-minute walk in a park or working in the garden can have a relaxing effect on your brain? Green spaces are also good for water retention, biodiversity, and combating heat stress in the city.
We invite you to join us on this special city walk through the green spots of the city center. The route of this city walk takes us a little further away from the heart of downtown. Therefore, comfortable walking shoes are recommended.
