Gouda Farmstead Days
On May 24 and 25, the Gouda Hofstedendagen will be organized for the 46th time. This festive weekend can be visited from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and takes place along the Bloemendaalseweg. Many residents and organizations hold open houses and offer a glimpse into their buildings, yards, and activities. During this vibrant weekend, everyone can experience the diversity and many different facets of one of the few peat ribbons in a city: a beautiful rural road with old farms leading to the city center.
Many farmyards will host activities for all ages. Highlights include performances by various music groups, crafts such as clog-making, woodturning, and engraving, pony demonstrations, information on nature and green spaces, a creative zone, stalls selling products, the "Vitamin Bike" offering (forgotten) vegetables, photo exhibitions, and more. There are also plenty of activities for children, such as games, pony rides, inflatable playgrounds, an obstacle course, boat rides, face painting, rappelling, and scavenger hunts. The book bike will read fun and exciting stories. There’s plenty to eat and drink, from mini pancakes to fries, from hamburger buns to ice cream—you’ll find it all.
