And there they are: the famous Gouda cheese girls, surrounded by spectators. Horse-drawn cheese carts come and go. Just before the Gouda Waag, they come to a halt. Cheese boys jump out and start unloading the cheeses, tossing them over their shoulders, which are then weighed on the original scales in the Gouda Waag.
You can enjoy world-famous cheese, as well as stalls filled with local products. In addition to cheese trading and cheese making, there is also a craft market. There is also plenty to do in Gouda in the afternoon. For example, you can take a canal tour or join the Gouda Guides Guild on a walking tour.
