From April 2 through May 20, 2026, the photo exhibition I’m them, too by Ewa Nagórzańska. The exhibition focuses on people from the immediate vicinity of the Garenspinnerij, featuring portraits that reveal not only the subject but also something of the viewer.
By listening to the stories of people around her, Nagórzańska realized that those stories unexpectedly resonated deeply with her own experiences. “You think you’re listening to someone else, but suddenly you hear yourself—in fragments, in emotions, in memories. That’s when I realized: I’m them, too.”
According to her, the power of the images lies in recognition: not in the differences, but precisely in what people share with one another. Each portrait has its own character and story. The photographer works intuitively: “You prepare something, but ultimately you let it happen. That makes every image unique.”
About the photographer
Ewa Nagórzańska was born and raised in Poland and calls herself a nomad, a traveler, a collector, a listener. Twenty years ago, she bought her first small camera and began taking photos during her stay in China. Since then, she has focused on capturing people and moments that, in her words, contain “a touch of magic.”
