Festival of Wonder Workshop

Sign up for one of the workshops! Festival de Verwondering is heading out into the neighborhood with a series of creative workshops at five community centers in Gouda. Together with theater artists, you’ll spend three hours creating a colorful, imaginative object.

This community art project offers everyone the chance to participate in a spectacular final show on Saturday evening, September 19. Under the guidance of theater makers Evert Josemanders (Theater Popidou) and Friso van Vemde (Ashton Brothers), participants will create colorful and imaginative objects that will become part of a parade and the final performance.

The workshops will take place on Monday, May 25, at Buurtpunt Zoutman; Saturday, June 27, at Van Noord; Saturday, July 11, at De Walvis; Saturday, July 25, at the Nelson Mandela Center; and Saturday, August 29, at the Huiskamer van de Wijk Bernhardhof.

Participants can attend a single workshop, but are also welcome to join multiple times to further develop their ideas. No experience is necessary: with the help of templates and guidance from an instructor, everyone will create their own piece within three hours. 

Anyone wishing to participate in the finale with their object is asked to also be available the weekend prior to the performance for the dress rehearsal.
