Ten years ago, Cinema Gouda opened its doors to the public for the first time. Since then, the theater has welcomed nearly 2 million visitors. Time to look back!
In 2014, residents of Gouda were welcomed to a six-screen movie theater that took over the role of the former Arcade Cinema. From blockbusters to arthouse films, you can find it all there. The Ladies Nights and 50+ movie programs, in particular, are extremely popular at the Gouda cinema. Many major titles have been shown over the past ten years, with the most-watched including: Gooische Vrouwen 2, Bohemian Rhapsody, and The Lion King.
A birthday isn’t complete without gifts, so Cinema Gouda is treating you! On Wednesday, October 16, ten balloons will be scattered throughout downtown Gouda for you to find. Hints for each location will be posted on our social media channels. If you find a balloon, bring it to the cinema at Burgemeester Jamessingel 25 to receive two free tickets, which you can use however you like. Good luck!
